This member of the Passifloraceae
family was given this name by P. Claverie in 1909. It is found on
Madagascar, growing in a well drained soil with some water and some
to lots of sun. The caudex develops into a stem, and can grow to 20
centimetres in diameter and reach a height of two or three metres.
