This member of the Iridaceae family was
given this name by Petrus Cornelius Van Geel in 1828. It is found in Malawi,
South Africa, Tanzania and some claim Madagascar? it is growing in a well
drained soil with some water and some to lots of sun. The bulb
will grow to six centimetres in diameter, the plant up to 60
centimetres in height, 90 with the inflorescent with the yellow and
orange flowers.
