This member of the
Moringaceae family was given this name by Moritz
Kurt Dinter and Alwin Berger in 1914. It is found in northern
Namibia and south-western Angola, growing on rocks or in a well
drained soil. It requires little water, but can cope with quite a
lot. It need lots of sun to fatten up. The stem can grow to one
meter in diameter and the whole tree can reach seven meters. The
flowers are white.
They start up rather slender.
