This member of the
Gesneriaceae family was given this name by Laurence
Edgar Skog in 1987. It is found in southern Brazil, growing
in a rich but well drained soil with some water and some to lots of
sun. The caudex can grow to fourteen centimetres in diameter, the
stems up to 70 centimetres. The flowers are from red to magenta. |
