This member of the Amaryllidaceae
family was described by Herb., and is found in Southern Africa. It
grows in a sandy or even clay-like soil with some water and lots of
sun. The leaves tend to lay on the ground, for 30 centimetres, the
bulb can grow to 30 centimetres in diameter. The flowers are pink,
last for 20 days, turning darker and darker. It can only be reproduced
by seeds.
