Found this at Grootscholten. It
will only grow this single leaf.

Winter growing member of
the Asphodelaceae family, described by Adrian Hardy Haworth in
1825, found on the western coast of South Africa. Growing in grit or
well-drained soil with little water and some sun. This is the first
flower I have seen or found on the web.
The flower stalks
seems to be able to make off-sets as well.
This is a
winter-grower.
