This member of the Asclepiadaceae* family was described by Joseph Dalton Hooker in 1877. It's found in the southern part of South Africa, growing in a well-drained soil with some water and some sun. The caudex can get five centimetres in diameter, the branches more than 30 centimetres long. The flowers are white/pink/brown.
