This member of the Cucurbitaceae
family was described by Charles Jeffrey. It is found in Cameroon,
Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe,
growing in grit with some to lots of water and some sun. The caudex
can grow to 12 centimetres in diameter, the vines reaches for four
meters. The flowers are light crème coloured.
Named after the
coral-red fruits.
