This member of the Hyacinthaceae
family was given this name by Frederick James Chittenden in 1951. It is found in
Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa, growing in a well drained soil
with some water and some to lots of sun. The bulbs will grow up to
ten
centimetres in diameter, the whole plant up to 35 centimetres
height. The flowers are yellowish-green.
