Rauh and A. Razafindratsira in1987. It is found in Ambovombe,
southern Madagascar, growing in a well drained soil with some water
and some sun. The caudex can grow to six centimetres in diameter,
the stems up to 35 centimetres height. The flowers are pale brown.
