This member of the Euphorbiaceae family was described by Werner Rauh and A. Razafindratsira in 1991. It is found on Madagascar, growing in a well drained soil with some water and some to lots of sun. The caudex can grow to ten centimetres in diameter, the stems up to 30 centimetres height. The flowers are cream coloured.
