This member of the Anacardiaceae
family was described by Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler. It is found in Kenya,
Somalia and Tanzania, growing in a
well drained soil with some water and lots of sun. The multi stems
can grow to 20 centimetres with a 35 centimenter centre, the whole
bush from two to six meters in height. The flowers are whitish.
The roots should be
covered in wool-like hairs, made of modified cork cells. Should be
good for madras!
