This member of the Geraniaceae family was first given this name by Charles Louis L'Héritier de Brutelle in 1789. It comes from the southern part of Africa, lives in well drained soil with some water and lots of sun. It will raise up to 120 centimetres. The flowers are white, and the plant can be reproduced both by cuttings and seeds. 

This is a winter-grower.
