This member of the Euphorbiaceae
family was
given this name
by Haworth in 1812. It is found in the Eastern
Cape and Natal area, South Africa, growing in a well drained soil with quite some
water and some sun. The cone-like stem can grow up to eight
centimetres in diameter, the whole plant reaches for 20 or up to 40
centimetres. The flowers are green to yellowish green. |
