This member of the
Aizoaceae
family was described by Harriet Margaret Louisa Bolus in
1928. It is found in Southern Africa, growing in grit or another
well drained soil with little to some water and lots of sun. The
caudex can grow up to nine centimetres in diameter, the whole plant
reaches for up to 25 centimetres in height. The flowers are white
with pink stripes. The plant can be reproduced both by seeds and
cuttings.
Named after Mrs. Emily Ferguson.
