This member of the
Xanthorrhoeaceae family was described by Ferdinand Jacob Heinrich
von Muell in 1864. It is
found in the southern part of Australia, growing in sandy or other
well drained soil with little to some water and lots of sun. The
stem will (in 100 years or more) grow up to one meter in height
and 25 centimetres in diameter, the leaves to 60 centimetres long.
The flowers are crème colour, and seeds seems to be the only way of
reproducing.
Former member of the
Juncaceae and the Liliaceae family.
My plant tend to grow the most
in winters.
