This little member of the Passifloraceae
family was given this name by W. J. J. O. de Wilde in 1970. It is
found on Madagascar, growing in a slightly enriched soil which are
well drained with some water and some sun. The caudex only grows to
four centimetres in diameter, the plant grow up to 20 centimetres.
The flowers are pale yellow.
The name Adenia
is derived from aden, meaning gland, and pertains to the glands
found on leaves of most of the species.
The species name after the Isalo
