This little member of the Aloaceae* family was
given this name by Susan Carter in 1996. It is found in Zambia and
maybe Tanzania , growing in a well
drained soil or even grit with some water and lots of sun. The caudex
can grow to five centimetres in diameter, the vines up to ten
centimetres long. The inflorescent with the coral-pink flowers can
reach 90 centimetres.
*) Aloaceae might be Asphodelaceae
now. |
