This
is the flower of my own. Really bright yellow!

This member of the Pedaliaceae family was described
by
Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler in 1894. It's found in Tanzania and Mozambique, and the flowers are
bright yellow to orange. The few short, swollen stems gets annual
shoots to 20 centimetres. The caudex can grow to five centimetres or
more.
In the wild, the growing
area might be swamped for part of the year.
