   This member of the Menispermaceae family was given this name by Hsien Shui Lo in 1978. It is found in southern China, growing in a rich but well drained soil with quite some water water and lots of sun. The caudex can grow to 8 centimetres or more in diameter, the vines can reach for five meters or more. The flowers are reddish.
