This
member of the Burseraceae family was described by
Spencer Le Marchant
Moore in 1877.
It is found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda. It grows in a well drained soil with little to some water,
and lots of sun. It will grow from five to eight meters height with a stem of
30 centimetres in diameter, and the flowers are
small and white.
The genera name honours the
Scottish botanist John Boswell, 1710 - 1780. The species name
means 'unobserved, insignificant' like the leaves. |
