   This member of the Euphorbiaceae family was described by Werner Rauh  in1970. It is found on Cap Sainte-Marie, southern Madagascar, growing in a well drained soil with some water and some to lots of sun. The caudex can grow to ten centimetres in diameter, the stems up to 30 centimetres height. The flowers are pale brownish yellow.
