Habitat in Oribi Gorge, South Africa.

   This very common member of the Hyacinthaceae family was given this name this name by Josef Dostál in 1984. It is found in Southern Africa, growing in a well drained soil with some water and some to lots of sun. The bulb can grow to 10 centimetres in diameter, the leaves will reach one meter in length. The flowers are white, and beside from seeds, it can very easily be reproduced by the bulbils.
