This member of the Euphorbiaceae
family was described by Bruce James Hargreaves in 1981. It is found
in Malawi and Zambia, growing in a well drained soil with some
water and some to lots of sun. The caudex can grow to five
centimetres in diameter, the plant to 24 centimetres height. The
flowers are green and red.
The genera name
from the Greek monos;
'one' and -aden; 'gland', referring to the solitary gland.
The species name after the Mafinga Hills in Malawi. |
