   This member of the Iridaceae family was described by Peter Goldblatt in 1977. It is found in Namaqualand, Southern Africa, growing in a well drained soil with some water and lots of sun. The bulb will grow up to 2,5 centimetres in diameter, the curly leaves up to ten centimetres long. The flowers are white to blue with yellow spots.
