This member of the Asteraceae family was described by John Hutchinson in 1914. It is found on the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa, growing in grit or other well drained soil with little water and some sun. The stem will grow up to five centimetres in diameter, the whole plant up to 25 centimetres height. The flowers are yellow.
