This member of the Aizoaceae family was given this name by Martin Heinrich Gustav Schwantes in 1926. It's from the Cape Province of South Africa, growing in well-drained soil with little to some water and lots of sun. The caudex grows to 3,5 centimetres in diameter, the plant  to eight centimetres height. The flowers are bright pink.
