Adult leaves.

   This dioecious member of the Cucurbitaceae family was described by CÚlestin Alfred Cogniaux  in 1881. It is found in the south-western part of Madagascar, growing in a well drained soil or even grit with some water and some sun. The caudex can grow to at least thirteen centimetres in diameter, and the whole plant can grow to 60 centimetres or more.
