This member of the Asphodelaceae family was described by Hermann Wilhelm Rudolf Marloth in 1910. It is found in the Southern part of Africa, growing on eastern facing hills, in grit or well-drained soil. It get some water and some sun and even frost at night at winter nights. The plant will raises for 12 centimetres, the flower-stand for 30 centimetres or more. The flowers are white, and it can be reproduced both by seeds, leaves-cuttings and offshoots.
