This big boulder of Lommestenen is also known as Lumbs Stenen. It is found in the water right outside the coast Egebjerg in Isefjorden.

Location: Skovvej 18, 4500 Nykøbing. Continue down to the water, turn right an walk for 150 metres.
GPS: 55.851754, 11.714203

Size: 2,7 metres high, 3,8 metres wide and 3,8 meters long.  It is 13 metres in circumference. The weight is around 55 tons.

Meaning of the name: Pocket stone.

Material: Migmatitic Gneiss.

Origin: Southern Sweden?

Legend: Everyone knows that trolls are not fond of churches, so when Egebjerg Church was built, the trolls from Egebjerg, Hundested, Nakke in Hornsherred and Sweden on their mounts, angry and powerless, while the church got bigger and bigger every day . Eventually the tower was raised. The bells were hung up and sent their powerful sound over land and sea. The trolls fled to their homes. They held their ears, sick of bells chimes. From time to time they threw a stone at the church tower, to stop the terrible sound, but they always hit next. Eventually they gave up to do something about it.
The Hornsherred Troll was the greatest and wisest of the goblins, who was disturbed by Egebjerg church bells. He liked to collect stones and have them in his pocket. One day he found a particularly large, beautiful stone. It was the largest he had ever had encountered, and it dented exceedingly out of his jacket pocket.
He was almost returning home with his findings as the hated the bells began to ring. He took a firm grip on the stone, so solid that his fingerprints were seated in the - took aim at the tower and threw ... He followed the heavy artillery with eyes. It shot a good speed, and direction fitted! - But he had aimed too low. The stone could not get over Stokkebjerg Forest. Disappointed as the magician how the stone struck against a tree. The tree toppled and tore many other trees down with it. The stone crashed in Isefjorden. Troll threw himself to the ground and wept with rage. However, there was nothing that could help?
