This big boulder of Marienborgstenen
found next to the little road of
Sølbjergvej, just east of number 9, on
the island of Møn. It might turn out to
be big surprise, but at present,
it is a massive disappointment. It has
not been excavated yet, and it is
impossible to guess how big it actually
is. At one time, it was partly exposed,
and as fare at a witness remembers, it
is truly impressive, as the photo below
Sølbjergvej 9, 4780 Stege.
GPS: 54.943029, 12.182153.
?. Right now, it only look 0,2 metres
high, 0,45 meters wide and 0,9 meters
long. GEUS estimate it is around 140
cubic metres and the weight will be
around 370 tons. That make it the fourth
biggest boulder in Denmark.
Meaning of the
name: It is named by the owner,
after the estate on which field it is
Big grained granite.
As big as
Morten Flyvebom remembers it. Photo by?
