Another time

This big boulder of Oddestenen, also known as Odsstenen is found on a isthmus, south of the town of Jyllinge. Park at Snekkevej 1,4040 Jyllinge and follow the beach on the nature trail for 1500 meters, and you find it a few meters from the water.

Location: Near Snekkevej 1, 4040 Jyllinge.
GPS: 55.730326, 12.106733

Size: 2,3 metres high, 5 metres wide and 4 meters long. The estimate weight is 65 tons.

Meaning of the name: The isthmus rock.

Material: Gnejs.

Origin: Sweden.

Legend: The big crack should, according to the legend, be after the hair band a troll woman used, when she threw the stone after Gundsømagle Church from the other side of the fjord.
