Apodanthera sagittifolia var. dissecta, Mart.
Apodanthera sagittifolia var. villosa,
This member of the Cucurbitaceae family was given this name by
Raul Martínez Crovetto in 1954. It is found
in Argentina, and might be in Brazil and Uruguay, growing in a well drained soil with
some water and some to lots of sun. I can't find any references to
the size of the caudex, but the entire plant reach three meters in
flowers are yellow.
genera name is from Greek apodos; 'without a foot' and
Greek antheros; 'flowering' for the sessile flowers. The
species name is made up of Latin sagitta 'arrow' and -folia
('eaved' components meaning 'with arrow-shaped leaves'.
