This member of the Asteraceae family was
given this name by Carl Linnaeus the younger in 1782. It is found in
South Africa, growing in a well
drained soil with some water and lots of sun. The caudex can
grow to three centimetres, the plant will raise to 18 centimetres,
25 with the yellow flowers.
