This member of the Passifloraceae
family was given this name by Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler in
1891. It is found in Tanzania, Angola, Malawi,
Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa - Natal,
Transvaal, and Swaziland. It prefers a well drained soil, lots of
water and sun. The caudex can grow to 60 centimetres, the vines to
two meters or more. The flowers are small and white. |
