This member of the
Passifloraceae family was given this name by Sijfert Hendrik Koorders in 1912. It is found wide spread around in
Asia: Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam and Northern Australia and the
Philippines. It grows in a well drained soil with some to lots of
water and some sun. The caudex can grow to 35 centimetres or more in
diameter, the vines can reach for three meters. The flowers are pale
yellow, the fruits red. |
