This member of the Aizoaceae
family was given this name by Harriet Margaret Louisa Bolus. It is
found in Bushmanland, South Africa, growing in grit or other well
drained soil with little to some water and some sun. The swollen
root can grow to eight centimetres in diameter, the plant will form
a pillow, 12 centimetres high and 20 centimetres in diameter, given
the right conditions. The flowers are from yellow to bronze.
This is a
winter-grower like the other Aloinopsis', but it seems to do
fine at summer as well.
