This member of the
Colchicaceae family was described by Friedrich Richard
Rudolf Schlechter & Kurt Krause in 1921. It
is found in Namaqualand and southwards to Piketberg in South Africa, growing in
sand or an other well drained soil with
some to lots of water and lots of sun. The bulbs will grow to 2,5 centimetres
in diameter, the whole plant up to 12 centimetres height. The
flowers are white. |
