This member of the Portulacaceae family was given this name by Carolin ex Herschkovitz in 1990. It is found on the Isla Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico. It needs a very well drained soil, little water and lots of sun. The flowers are pale pink, and the plant can be reproduced both by seeds and cuttings.
