     This member of the Vitaceae family was given this name by Descoings in 1966. Found in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe, where it grows in well drained soil, with some water and sun. The caudex grows to 30 cm in diameter, the branches reaches two meters. The flowers is brown-greenish.

The fruits are dense hairy.
