This member of the Aizoaceae family was described by Wessel Marais in 1979. It is found on Madagascar, growing in a well drained soil with little water and lots of sun. The thickened stem can grow to three centimetres in diameter, the little bush can grow to fifteen centimetres height and 30 centimetres in diameter..The flowers are white.
