This dioecious member of
the Cucurbitaceae was
given this name
by Cogniaux in 1881. It is found on Lesser Sunda Islands, Southern Malaysia.
It grows in the forests, in a well drained soil with some water and
some sun. It will climb up to five meters, the caudex can grow up to
30 centimetres in diameter. The flowers are green to
greenish-yellow.
