This member of the Scrophulariacear family is found in the eastern part of South
Africa. It grows in sand and other well drained soil with some water
and lots of sun. The plant grow up to 25 centimetres, the white and
dark pink flower up to 60 centimetres.
Named after Johann Hebenstreit
1720-91, a professor in medicine at Leipzig and St. Petersburg and
comosa means with hairy tufts. |
