Usually found along the roads in the Cape Province.

   This giant member of the Hyacinthaceae  family was given this name by John C. Manning & Peter Goldblatt in 2004. It is found in the southern Africa, growing in a well drained soil with some water and lots of sun. It might have a short dormant period in the mid summer. It will grow up to 160 centimetres with a bulb up to 12 centimetres. The flowers are white with green stripes.
