This lovely little member of the
Hyacinthaceae family was described by Baker in 1873. It is found from
Namaqualand to Swellendam in the gravel of shallow
pockets on the rockfaces. It only receives a little amount of
water, but lots of sun. The bulb will grow up to one centimetre in
diameter, the plant up to six centimetres height. |
