The fruit.

    This member of the Colchicaceae  family was described by A. T. Aiton. It is found in southern Africa, growing in a well drained soil with some water and lots of sun. The bulbs will grow to 2,5 centimetres in diameter, the whole plant up to 15 centimetres height. The flowers are brownish-red.
