   This member of the Bombacaceae* family was described by Aublet  in 1775. Ti is found in Mexico and the tropical part of south America, growing along rivers. Rich peat, lots of water and some sun. It can reach for 20 meters. The white (crème/green) flowers are 20 centimetres, and the fruits the same. Can be reproduced by cuttings as well. I found mine in Taastrup in 2003.
