This member of the Geraniaceae
family was given this name by L'Her. It is found in the Southern Cape to
the North West Cape of South Africa, growing in a well drained soil
like sand, receiving some water in the winters, and some sun. The
caudex will grow up to 20 centimetres in diameter, the whole plant
grows up to 25 centimetres in height. The flowers are white, pale
yellow, pale brown or pale pink.
