This member of the Sterculiaceae* family was described by K. Schumann. It is from Kenya where it grows in open forests with some water and some sun. It will grow to ten meters with a trunk one meter in diameter. The flowers are greenish to yellowish, and the plant can be reproduced both by seeds and cuttings.
