This member of the Amaryllidaceae
family was given this name by
Deidré A. Snijman in 1994. It is only found in Dornbosch near
Clanwilliam, South Africa, growing in sand with little water and
lots of sun. The bulb will grow to five centimetres, the plant to
four. The flowers are white.
